Northern Culture APPG Inquiry: Call to Evidence

Thank you very much for taking the time to submit your views as part of the Northern Culture APPG’s Inquiry into the cultural value of sport to the North’s cities, towns and communities

The North’s cultural industry has been hit hard by Covid-19 and faces an historic challenge as the global pandemic continues to affect our everyday lives.

The Northern Culture APPG’s second inquiry will build on the findings and recommendations made in the Case for Culture: Levelling Up Inquiry Report which achieved cross-party consensus on the need to level up Northern Culture and deliver greater access, investment and equal opportunity for the North’s rich seam of talent. It provided a blueprint for how the North can rebuild cultural confidence, adapt and become more resilient and develop new audiences for culture

Please submit below by 9:00 on Friday 28th October. Please indicate which questions you intend to answer.

Please note that the submission is limited to 2,000 words. If you would like to submit a longer piece of evidence, email it with a summary to
